It also allows you to travel within the city on the New York City MTA subway and bus system. It also provides intercity services through Amtrak.

New York Penn Station is so large that it covers two New York City blocks in midtown Manhattan. Some of the amenities they offer include help with your bags during baggage hours, enclosed waiting areas, restrooms, lounge, payphones, and an ATM.

Train rides from Boston, Albany, and Washington DC are only a few hours and cost between $50 and $100 depending on the line and the seat you choose. Trains from cities in New Jersey and Long Island are considerably cheaper and take less than an hour from most locations.
