There is no fee for entrance on Liberty Island. Ferry tickets will be your only expense. The price for ferry services is:
$11.50 Age 13 and over
$ 9.50 62 and over
$ 4.50 Ages 4-12

Transportation to Liberty Island is provided by Circle Line Ferry. Circle Line Ferry departs daily from Battery Park, NY and Liberty State Park, New Jersey. Order you tickets online at www.esbnyc.com.

There is no parking at Circle Line Ferry Battery Park location. Visitors may want to considered taking a taxi to it or you may find a privately owned parking lot in the area surrounding Battery Park. The ticket office in NJ is located inside the CRRNJ Railroad Terminal, in Liberty State Park.

Ferries to Liberty Island and the grounds at Liberty Island are wheelchair accessible. The pedastal Observatory platform has an elevator, however, there is a 24-step climb. The Ellis Island Immigration Museum is worth a visit after you’ve seen Lady Liberty.

Dedicated on October 28, 1886, the Statue of Liberty was a gift from France to the United States as a sign of their international friendship. It became a National Monument on October 15, 1924. Throughout the years, however, the Statue of Liberty became more than a symbol of friendship. It has become an important part of American history and symbolizes political freedom.
