Pier 17 South Street Seaport

Pier 17 is an incredible tourist attraction found in New York City’s South Street Seaport, a community consisting of a world-class museum, more than 100 stores, restaurants and cafes, and amazing views. Pier 17 itself is a building complex of three floors complete with many different shops and places to eat sure to please the tourist’s eye, tastes, style and pallet.

Pier 17 is near the tip of Manhattan. It’s situated on the East River, the perfect distance from the Brooklyn Bridge to provide a stunning view from its open deck. Pier 17 also has great views of Lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. The closest major park to Pier 17 is City Hall Park.

Shops are open Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Prices will vary depending on which Pier 17 shop you visit, what you purchase and what type of dining experience you seek.

Boat tours of the East River are offered at Pier 17, between Brooklyn and Manhattan. In addition, the higher floors on the river side of Pier 17 have lounge chairs overlooking the river, perfect for getting those great views, relaxing in the sun, or enjoying meaningful conversation or a good book. As well, Pier 17’s stores offer everything from higher-end boutiques to cute little tourist shops. Upstairs at Pier 17 you will also find a food court.
