Central Park is perhaps the most famous park in the world and boasts beautiful scenery, places of interest and even and outdoor arena! Covering 843 acres, it spans a vast 6% of Manhattan!

The park is open to the public. There is admission to some of the attractions located within the park:
Central Park Zoo – Adults $6.00; Seniors $1.25; Children 3-12 $1.00; Children under 3, Free
Carousel – $1.25 per ride
Vehicles can drive through the park on Park Drive. Hours of operation are:
Weekdays: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Weekends: 7:00 PM Friday – 7:00 AM Monday
Holiday: 7:00 PM the night before – 7:00 AM the day after
Speed limit is 25 MPH.

Central Park is easily reached by taxi, subway or on foot. Central Park is located in the center of Manhattan and is only minutes from popular tourist attractions around the City.

Whether you are out to stroll through the park on a nice day or are heading to one of the park’s attractions, Central Park is a must see in New York. There are many beautiful statues placed around the park including Alice in Wonderland and Balto the dog. Central Park is also home to one of the most popular and posh restaurants in the world – Tavern on the Green; located on the West Side between 66th and 67th Streets. While making your way to the Children’s Zoo or the Carousel, you will see many people laying on the vast green lawn or jogging through the meandering path of the park. This magnificent park even offers concerts and theatrical performances.
